Stud Service Requirements & Policies
At our kennel, we are committed to preserving and improving the German Shepherd Dog through thoughtful, selective breeding practices. The health, temperament, and structural integrity of our dogs are our highest priorities.
To ensure the safety of our studs and the quality of each breeding, all outside females must meet the following requirements:
Health & Reproductive Requirements
A current negative brucellosis test is required within 30 days prior to breeding
We recommend testing once the female begins her heat cycle as results can take up to a week.
Progesterone testing is required to accurately determine ovulation timing
This allows us to maximize the likelyhood of a successful breeding
Titles & Evaluations
Females must have a minimum SV show rating of SG (Sehr Gut) or higher
Females must have certified hip and elbow evaluations from a recognized organization:
OFA
SV
PennHIP
Documentation Required
Proof of health testing
Prood of titles
A certified 4 generation pedigree
Registration documentation
Stud Health & Guarantee
All of our studs undergo:
Routine semen evaluations
Regular brucellosis testing
While we take every step to ensure optimal fertility, we understand that not every breeding results in a pregnancy. In the event the female does not conceive, we offer a complimentary return breeding.
Stud Service Availability
We are not currently offering stud services.
As a kennel, we prioritize the long term health, fertility, and quality of our males. We will only offer stud services when we are fully confident in a male's ability to contribute positively to the breed.
Recommended Stud Services
In the meantime, we are happy to recommend:
Wildwood German Shepherds - Canton, TX
They offer high quality stud services to approved females and share a similar commitment to health, structure, and breed integrity.
