What we Feed

Many studdies have been done on the benefits of feeding raw. While we understand that it is a controversial topic, we personally see a difference in our dogs when they're on a raw or 50% raw diet. All puppies are fed 50% raw, 50% nutrisource while in our care. We will wean puppies to pure kibble diets before sending them home. However, we will always reccomend that our buyers feed 50% raw to their puppies as the benefits are undeniable. Many of my mentors have found that puppies eating at least 50% raw are significantly more likely to have better x-ray results. The health of our dogs is very important to us, and so we will always have puppies on 50% for a minimum of  the first year of their life.

While feeding raw is very beneficial to a dog's health, it is important to note that the diet must be BALANCED. You can not go to the grocery store and purchase random raw meat and expect the same results. There are very specific ratios of muscle meat, bone, liver, and other excreating organs that go into creating a balanced raw diet. Many people are not able to properly provide this balance. We like K9kraving products and choose that to feed our dogs. It comes pre-balanced and preportioned, making meal times easier. 

Supplements

Supplements are an important part of any diet. We add a variety of different supplements into our dogs' meals to make sure they're getting all the nutrients they need to maintain their active lifestyle. However, not every dog is on the same set of supplements. We will break down our go-to supplements for each lifestage.

• K9 Preformance 

  • Vertex- this is a lovely supplement all of our dogs receive. It is measured based on weight and is a performance supplement. It helps the overall weight and muscle maintaince, joint health, and stamania of our dogs.

  • Coat Boost- this is used to maintain the lovely shiny coats all our dogs have. We love strong healthy coats and of course it always makes them look better in the show ring! This supplement also helps maintain healthy skin for your dog as well. 

• Plain Unflavored Gelatin

  • Gelatin is wonderful in young growing puppies to make sure they have everything they need to maintain their rapidly growing joints. All our puppies receive gelatin the first year of their life. As an added benefit, gelatin also aids in puppies ears going and staying up!

• Fish Oil

  • Fish oil is very beneficial to joint, skin, and coat health. It helps maintain shiny coats and supple, clear skin. Our dogs also love the added flavor it brings to each meal!

This is the period where your puppy will grow and change the most, and a reliable balanced diet is vital to their overall health and development as they age!
